Seriously, why does LOTR have all the best scenes in the history of  film battles. I mean, I'm a huge Star Wars fan and all, but what, in their right mind, in their right conscience, would want to compete against JRR Tolkien's masterpiece? What can compete against Peter Jackson's 3 LOTRs films and soon-to-come The Hobbit?

Everytime I think of a castle, the only example that can ever be worthy is the White City, the greatest Castle in the history of Castles; the great white walls of Minas Tirith, the city of Gondor. What else gives you greater joy than to see the Tower of Ecthelion burst forth in brighness in the morning sunshine, the White Tree of Gondor shining with everlasting purity.
                             
                             

AND WHY ARE ALL THEIR BATTLE SCENES SO AWESOME?!



Compared to this, I feel like I can take on the Death Star every day. With the Rohirrim behind me charging into the darkness.

Being an Engineer

Seriously, JC life is tiring. The being-in-constant-motion state of flux that all of us are in, hovering between LTs ,T-block/V-block and Canteen is exhausting. Especially when one does not have the luxury of fully-air-conditioned classrooms with sofas. Not to mention that the style of teaching is vastly different between each teachers. Some just don't give a damn whether you're listening or not, Some would bitch if you're not listening at all. Why can't NIE just hold a "Kind and Considerate (to students)" requirement for all potential teachers next time? It doesn't mean that there aren't any kind teachers in JC. But the treatment we're getting just seems to put IP teachers into way better lighting. Before, they used to be just normal. Now, I'm starting to believe some of them are almost God-like.

And seriously, Mr Goh doesn't ever change. His 3rd Period lessons are forever the same. Mass PE is hilarious(ly) a joke. Seemingly I always end up feeling the same - Like a kid.

Well, JC life is different from IP life. I miss my classroom. I miss having a bunch of friends to talk cock with at the back of the class. I miss going treehouse to play bridge. I miss trying to learn Vietnamese.

But times change and the seasons wait for no man (or woman). Though life has moved on, I'll forever cherish those 2 years of my life filled with fun and laughter. And seriously, being in JC just made everything so serious. 

For starters, we're given way too much freedom. Tutorials are up to you to do before hand. Lecture notes are up to you to read before lectures. It's up to you to turn up for classes. Really, with this much freedom, I find myself having to push myself just to get started on work. Here I am on Blogger when in fact I could be doing Econs, Math or even Physics right now. 

But with every challenge, comes acceptance. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with these next 2 years, and if Orientation is any indication, this could be funnnnnn... 

Seriously though, this is serious. Seriously; Serious.
